my point here is the importance of giving back to your society especially the one that groomed you or the one you came out from. for every successful person, it is very imperative that you do your best possible in giving back to your society.. a successful person not ready to groom, motivate, encourage and inspire the younger generations coming behind is not completely successful.
in attendant at this powerful revolutionary event were women of substance. likes of senator oluremi tinubu, prof Dora Akuiyili, lara george and a host of others were presernt. but sadly linda ikeji did not turn up. sincerely 70 percent of the people in attendance looked forward to seeing and hearing from the famous nigerian blogger linda ikeji. she was suppose to be present but she did not turn up. Alot of girls were there just to hear from her. they wanted to know what her journey was like rising up the ladder, what she went through as an undergraduate in the university of lagos, how she kept her head up high and the challenges she had to face as a young girl in our todays patriarchal society.
but it was so disappointing that she didn't show up. senator oluremi tinubu and prof Dora Akuiyili deemed it fit to come out and talk to the girls who had so many unanswered question bugging their minds despite their busy schedules. in all, the programme was a success and the ladies present were definitely inspired and ready to take on the world. once again it is very important to give back to your society, your Alma Mater for that matter.
